Diverse UK provides Sensory Calm Spaces at public events. Sensory Calm Spaces are tents that have been made into places that autistic and neurodivergent people can recover when they feel a bit overwhelmed. We often provide these at festivals like Download or Glastonbury.
We are looking to recruit two new job roles.
Diverse Depot manager
We are looking for a staff member who can manage the equipment depot which is used to store facilities for the sensory calm spaces that we run at public events.
Location: Home based but living relatively near to the depot at Filwood House, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 3RY.
You will need to be helping to load equipment in/out from Filwood House once/week during June to September.
Employment Type: Variable hours – approximately an average of 10 hours/week May to Sept. 2-4 hours/week other times of the year.
£11.44 per hour rising to £12.21 in April 2025
Fewer hours in Winter, more in June to September.
We are looking for someone:
- Skills in organising equipment and sensory stock items
- Ability to keep workplace clean, safe and tidy
- Ability to work some unsocial hours; lone working at times
- Able to keep up to date with what equipment has come in and which has gone out and maintain a tidy, organised workspace

Diverse Volunteering coordinator
We are looking for an organised and proactive Volunteer coordinator to manage the end-to-end volunteer process for the 2025 festival season. This role supports the success of our events and ensures our volunteers have a positive and impactful experience.
Location: Home based
Employment Type: Variable hours – approximately an average of 6 hours/week. May be 10-14 or more hours/week between June and Sept and 2-3 hours/week in Jan-May. Very few hours between Oct and Dec.
£11.44 per hour rising to £12.21 in April 2025
Fewer hours in Winter, more in June to September.
We are looking for someone:
- Able to manage emails and volunteer applications
- Allocate volunteers to festivals so we have 6 volunteers (approx.) for each event
- Stay in touch with volunteers throughout the application process
- Be available daily during the Spring and Summer to offer information
- Be the key link person between the Diverse festival manager and volunteers
