Sensory Calm Space
Diverse UK has developed the Sensory Calm Spaces in conjunction with our team of specialist autism sensory integration specialists and experts by experience.
We are currently the only national organisation that brings together all sensory needs for autistic people, using the evidence based Low arousal approach (National Autistic Society, Studio 3).
We can offer gentle and kind autistic and neurodivergent staff who use their lived experience, alongside Highly specialised Occupational Therapists, to create sensory calm spaces for autistic and neurodivergent people at public events including festivals.
We are currently working at the highest industry standards in accessibility through our Sensory Calm Spaces for Neurodivergent customers, from our long experience and knowledge base.
Please get in touch with us at hello@diverseuk.org, if you are interested in volunteering or wish to book the Sensory Calm Space for your event.

Diverse Sensory Calm Space Job and Volunteer Opportunities

Festival Season has been in full swing this summer! Our Sensory Calm Spaces have been spotted at Love Saves The Day, Download, Bludfest and Glastonbury.
Festival goers needing a break from the often-busy atmosphere have found moments of low stimulation calm, and have been a welcome addition to their time at these events. Our volunteer teams have been incredible in making sure the Calm Spaces are welcoming and well-managed, so that customers leave feeling refreshed and able to return to the event's hubbub.
Here's a brilliant testimonial from one of our volunteers who supported the Calm Space at Download:
"I found it really rewarding using my experience of being Neurodiverse in a way to benefit other people. Seeing the benefit of what Diverse Sensory tents can bring to people’s festivals brings so much joy."
And another from a volunteer at Love Saves The Day:
"I enjoyed meeting other neurodivergent individuals with different professional backgrounds (e.g. NHS, police). I also enjoyed being outdoors and listening to the festival music while working at the Diverse UK stand."
