Sensory Calm Space

Diverse UK has developed Sensory Calm Spaces in collaboration with specialist autism sensory integration professionals and experts by lived experience.

Our approach is grounded in evidence-informed, low-arousal principles, drawing on recognised frameworks such as those used by the National Autistic Society and Studio 3. We bring together sensory regulation, accessibility planning and compassionate, professional delivery to support autistic and neurodivergent people in busy public environments.

We provide professionally staffed Sensory Calm Spaces at festivals, live events, corporate events and conferences. Our teams include autistic and neurodivergent staff who use their lived experience alongside highly skilled practitioners, including Occupational Therapists, to create environments that genuinely reduce sensory overload and support self-regulation.

Through years of delivery at large-scale events, we work to high industry standards in accessibility, safeguarding and inclusive practice. Our Sensory Calm Spaces are designed to integrate seamlessly into event infrastructure, offering a practical, necessary provision for neurodivergent attendees, families and others who benefit from low-stimulation environments.

As we look ahead to 2026, planning is already underway for another year of Sensory Calm Spaces across the UK. In recent festival seasons, our Calm Spaces have supported thousands of attendees at major events including Love Saves The Day, Download, Bludfest and Glastonbury, enabling people to rest, reset and re-engage with events on their own terms.

For 2026, Sensory Calm Spaces are already confirmed for:

  • Love Saves The Day (Bristol)
  • FORWARDS Festival (Bristol)
  • Waterworks Festival (London)

More events will be announced as planning continues.
